Il Mulino di Navicello is not a company born with the idea to make lucrative commerce with our beloved product. Ludovico Rossi, ancestor of the Acetaia returned from the Ägäis and decided to invest a part of the earnings of the mill, done by his brothers and their wives with the passion for Aceto Balsamico into buying some sets of barrels from an Acetaia dating back to the year of 1919.

In the course of many years the Acetaia underwent many enlargements and in that way became one of the biggest Acetaias in the region. That however never managed to break the unselfish passion of all of the Rossis, as a good portion of this product was being given to friends and relatives as a present. It became necessary that the direction of the Acetaia was handed over to an in law family member in the middle of the 70ies as the company Rossi Serafini became an agricultural company with a closed circuit, that means starting with the unprocessed grape and ending with the product in certified bottles.

In the last decades of the century Giancarlo Serafini which up to now is the owner of the company dedicated himself on two things: On keeping the traditions and quality standards, typical for natural passion and ambition and on the sales of a product that can hardly be found anywhere else to such a quality.

Up to today Il Mulino di Navicello follows its true soul by on one hand exporting bottles into the whole world thanks to the internet and on the other by waiting for the next generation to follow the working process carried out 60 years ago.
